A canvas for Ova: From Milanese cityscapes to a majestic countryside, in search of the perfect shot
May 2024 - INSPIRATION // The nostalgic glow of Ova Amber against the shadow and light of crumbling stone walls was certainly a magical canvas to explore; between the bustle of Milan Design Week events and the excitement of what’s new and next, we were looking for something a little different.
Venturing out from the historical town centre and into the Milanese countryside offered an unexpected kind of charm – one of decrepit buildings and overgrown greenery that were steeped in stories; the perfect backdrop for an inpromptu photoshoot with a backpack filled with headlamps, Ova Amber pendants, a few tools and a battery pack.
Needless to say, we worked hard for the final result: with flashlights shining bright and our spidey senses at an all-time high, we traversed the broken, multi-story floors with caution and scaled the flaking walls for support, uncertain if we were the only ones in there.
